I'd say 2% per hour when sitting idle is significant drain. With no use the battery will be dead in barely two days. I can leave the batteries in my 5D Mark III for weeks and they only drop by 5-10%. On the other hand, even with GPS turned off my 7D Mark II drains the batteries at a similar rate to your 5D Mark IV.
After paying $2,699 USD for my 5D II, I see little to be gained by using a third-party battery and saving a few dollars. Likewise, after paying more than $5,000 for my large-format printer, I would never, ever use non-OEM ink. YMMV, and I fully support your decision to choose what works best for you.
You could probably even make do with a 21-megapixel Canon 5D Mark II, but without significant cropping. Another thing I will add is battery reliability. My battery manufacture date says 2016
Canon stopped using removable, user serviceable date/time backup batteries in the EOS line sometime in mid-2012. The last cameras I checked that had one are the 5D Mark III and 1D X. Both released in early 2012. The 6D released near the end of 2012 does not have one. Neither does the 700D released in early 2013, nor the 70D, 1200D, 7D Mark II
