The 55-250 IS STM lens follows on the heels of the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens introduction and includes similar enhancements found in that lens. While the introduction of entry-level lenses does not bring great excitement to the photographic community, this lens, like the 18-55 STM, is a marked improvement over its predecessor.
